Shutter Louvres

If you are looking to transform your home with shutters there are many aspects to consider, including the materials used, the overall style, the finish, and the shutter louvres. It is these small details which will fuse together to create the perfect finish, and our team are always on hand to assist.

What shutter louvre sizes are available?

Otherwise known as shutter slats, these sections within the shutter will tilt to provide privacy and light, so that your home becomes the comfortable and relaxing space you deserve. The louvres are the most important part of the shutter panels, so it is important that you carefully consider which size and material to use.

This is a narrow slat size, which is not as popular today as some of our wider options. Many older shutters were fitted with this size, and we are often contacted by customers looking to replicate the design elsewhere in their homes. If you are looking for maximum privacy, these narrow shutters can be tilted to provide a great solution.

If you are looking to maximise privacy and lower the levels of light in a room, these small louvres are a great choice. This size is often installed within small, bright rooms which need excellent privacy, such as small toilets, ensuites and bathrooms.

A 64mm louvre is one of our most popular choices of louvre. It offers a good level of natural light without compromising your homes privacy.

As the most popular louvre style in our bespoke range, this mid-size louvre provides an ideal balance of light and privacy. If you are looking to maintain a bright interior, this size of shutter will provide a sufficient level of light without having to jump to a shutter slat size which looks considerably larger.

This is one of the largest louvre in our range, so it is a great choice for those looking to allow plenty of light into a room at the slight compromise of privacy. If you have windows with details such as lead or stained glass, the wide slats will minimise the busyness whilst allowing as much light as possible through. This is a popular size for rooms on the ground floor of houses which are not road facing, where privacy is not as important.
